I want to measure total GLP-1 in plasma samples, but I do not understand how it would be biologically relevant to measure 1-37 (with no cross reactivity to other fragments) since GLP-1 is released from the L-cells to the blood stream as either 7-37 or 7-36 and then rapidly degraded to 9-37 and 9-36.
As far as I understand 1-37 is not present in plasma. Could you please explain?

For the in-body enviroment, the half life of GLP-1 is around 30 seconds. Then GLP-1 cannot be detected in this enviroment.
When the sample prepared and detached from the original in-body enviroment, it can be detected in this condition.
As for the different fragments, it is validated from our side that there is no across activity with another peptide fragments.
