I'm wondering why there are different ELISA kits against different species. Is it because of the variation of LPS? Can I use the human LPS ELISA to measure the LPS in mouse plasma?

Human LPS ELISA kit is used to test human samples, while mouse LPS ELISA kit is used to test mouse samples. Detection of cross-species is not advised. Because different species are different in the matrix.
