Description

The Bovine Cortisol ELISA Kit enables quantitative detection of bovine Cortisol in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. A detection range of 3.12 ng/ml-200 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.78 ng/ml ensures accurate results. The kit uses a competitive detection mechanism, where the Cortisol in the sample competes with a labeled antigen for binding to a limited number of antibody sites. This competition allows for the quantification of the antigen based on the inverse relationship between antigen concentration and signal output. The kit requires 50-100 μL of sample, has an assay time of 1-5 hours, and detection is carried out at 450 nm wavelength. It has been used in scientific experiments documented in more than 39 papers.

1. What is the Uniprot/Accession number that this kit is designed for? Is the kit designed for XYZ species or is it designed for a different species such as Human and cross reacts with XYZ species?
2. Is the capture antibody a monoclonal or polyclonal?
3. What's is that standard? A recombinant protein or something else? If a recombinant protein, what is the host?
4. If recombinant protein, is it full length or partial?
5. What is the species of the standard– human or something else?
6. What sample type was tested with this kit (serum? plasma? Something else?) and what were the reference values.

Cortisol is small molecule and it is the same in all species, so there is no uniprot.
Since for different species, the matrix is different, we have developed kits for different species.

The standard is purified cortisol. This is a competitive kit. The plate is coated with specific antigen. The specific antibody is rabbit polyclonal antibody. The immunogen is modified by special modification.
HRP is conjugated with secondary antibody( goat anti-rabbit antibody).
